Mo is a teenager living in London. He has been recruited to carry out a terrible act and his mission is approaching - but will he push the button?
The Wasp and the Caterpillar is a film about youth, indoctrination and the inherent violence that exists in nature - often, tragically echoed by mankind. Although it somehow responded to the London 7/7 bombings, my intention with the film was not to expose or condemn but rather to portray the intimate, psychological reality of a young man becoming a victim of a cruel dynamic well beyond his own understanding.
The film premiered at Palm Springs and later screened at the London Short Film Festival during which a Guardian review referred to it as “Stunning to gaze at”.
